Research

Physicians at The Center are on the cutting edge of research in their fields.

  • The Center for Prenatal Pediatrics is a member of the North American Fetal Therapy Network (NAFTNet). The goal of NAFTNet is to foster collaborative research in fetal medicine.

  • Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia: The DHREAMS (Diaphragmatic Hernia Research & Exploration; Advancing Molecular Science) study was created to improve the understanding of the molecular genetic basis of CDH. The knowledge gained through this research will lead to improved diagnosis, treatment, and quality of life for individuals and families with CDH. To learn more about the DHREAMS study, visit the study website: http://www.cdhgenetics.com/index.cfm

  • The Center for Prenatal Pediatrics is part of a multicenter study to compare the current standard of clinical cytogenetics (karyotype) with those achieved by the emerging technology of chromosome microarray analysis. The chromosome microarray analysis is available to anyone undergoing a CVS or amniocentesis procedure. For more details, please contact the Center at 1877-THE-BABY and ask to speak with one of the genetic counselors.
