Multiple Gestations
Women carrying multiples potentially have more complicated pregnancies than women carrying a singleton pregnancy. For example, women with twins, triplets, and high-order multiples are at increased risk for preterm labor and delivery. The Center for Prenatal Pediatrics also focuses and specializes on providing comprehensive antepartum and postpartum care for women with multiples. In addition, the Center specializes in diagnosing and treating a variety of multiple pregnancy complications such as:
- Preterm Labor
- Intrauterine growth problems
- Birth defects and genetic syndromes
- Monoamniotic twins
- Monochorionic twins
- Twin-Twin Transfusion syndromes
- TRAP sequence/Acardia
- Maternal complications
We offer integrated care for multiple gestations. Our services include:
- Consultation/management with Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists
- Neonatal Intensive Care specialists for multiples including prenatal consultation
